The hype behind the previous, “Shattered Backboard” release was insane and Jordan Brand is looking to keep the momentum going. This Air Jordan I Retro High OG, “Shattered Backboard” follows the same concept behind the first pair, Michael Jordan shattered a backboard in an Italian exhibition game held by Nike in 1985. Apparently this is an “away” version and the first release was the “home” colorway as Michael Jordan played for both teams during the exhibition game.
With the upcoming release, however, it seems as though Jordan Brand is making this rendition closer to the, “Chicago” colorway seen in the video.
As with your standard AJI we have a leather upper and rubber outsole. This time we are seeing more of the, “starfish” orange and less black with, “sail” being chosen instead of white. You know they are going to sell out so get that raffle entry in before these turn into the “Shattered Dreams” AJI!
