Twenty years after Denver’s unprecedented professional basketball upset in 1994, adidas Originals is re-releasing the Mutombo 2.

Dikembe Mutombo wore his Mutombo 2 signature basketball shoe during a historic playoff series in which his team, the number 8 seed, won against the number 1 seeded team. With a sleeker design than his first signature shoe, the Mutombo 2 alludes to traditional African tribal prints through an embossed upper and textured outsole.

Launching May 10, 2014 the Mutombo 2 will be available at the select Expressions locations.
