In 1904, former tennis & wrestling champ, Frank P. Mitchell partnered with Scottish golfer Charles M. Ness to form a sporting goods store on Arch Street in Philadelphia.

By 1925, Mitchell & Ness began designing & manufacturing for high school, college & semi-pro sports teams in Philly. In 1933 they teamed up with the Philadelphia Eagles & the rest is history.
